Emergency Contraception

If you think your method of contraception might have failed, there are two types of emergency contraception which can: be offered emergency pills must be taken within 72 hours (3 days) and are available at any NHS walk-in centre or family planning clinic and at hundreds of participating chemists; alternatively, an intra-uterine device must be fitted within 5 days at your local family planning clinic.
