Our Child Health clinics provide general advice especially regarding infant feeding and children’s diets. All members of the team are happy to answer questions and provide information regarding the immunisation programme.
Wednesday afternoons 13:00 – 15:00.
Please do not bring unwell children to the Well Baby Clinic as there is a risk of spreading infections to very young infants in the waiting room. If your child is unwell and needs to be seen the same day, an emergency appointment can be offered at the end of surgery or in more urgent cases your child will be directed immediately through to the first available Doctor.
The Well Baby Clinic is open access without timed appointments. You will be seen in order of arrival and according to which member of the team you need to see.
The Doctor offers physical examinations, diagnoses and prescriptions.
The Practice Nurse provides childhood immunisations.
Please bring your parent-held record book to each assessment.
8 Week Developmental Check
You will receive an invitation by post for this important developmental check and for your baby’s first immunisations. The Doctor will perform a full physical examination and developmental assessment.
The Doctor provides your baby’s first immunisations.
We will try to direct you as smoothly as possible between the different members of the Well Baby Clinic team. Please enquire at reception for approximate waiting times. If you feel you cannot wait, you may return the following week to the next Well Baby Clinic or you may book timed appointments with the individual team members, if the Wednesday clinic is inconvenient for you.
Please bring your parent-held record book, in order for all relevant information to be added.
